Terms of service

These terms apply to merchants who install Mint Wholesale ("the app"), made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

The service

The app gives your wholesale customers their own prices: it creates one automatic discount and (on Pro, when you set minimums) one checkout rule in your Shopify store, both powered by the app's Shopify Functions; it shows wholesale prices, a quick order form and notices on your storefront through theme blocks; and it lets customers apply for a wholesale account that you approve. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a paid feature you rely on without notice.

Your prices and customers

You decide who is in each price tier (by customer tag) and what they pay, and you are responsible for the prices, minimums and terms you offer, for taxes, and for reviewing applications. The app calculates discounts exactly as configured; please check a test order after changing your rules. Discounts follow Shopify's discount and combination rules at checkout.

Billing

Plans are billed by Shopify every 30 days in USD after the free trial. You can cancel at any time by changing plans or uninstalling the app. Charges are handled entirely by Shopify under Shopify's terms.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the app available, accurate and secure, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 3 months before a claim.

Data processing addendum

When the app processes personal data of your customers on your behalf, you are the controller and we are the processor. We will:

  • process personal data only to provide the app's features, following your instructions given through the app's settings;
  • process only the minimum data needed: we store a wholesale application's status with the Shopify customer ID; the answers a customer gives in an application are saved on their record in your Shopify store; names and email addresses are fetched from Shopify only to display them to you or to send an approval email you switched on, and are never stored;
  • never sell personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models;
  • keep it confidential and limit access to authorised personnel;
  • encrypt it in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Cloudflare D1 encryption at rest);
  • use Cloudflare (hosting, database and email sending) and Shopify as our only sub-processors;
  • delete decided applications 90 days after the decision, delete a customer's data when Shopify sends an erasure request, and delete all shop data after uninstall (shop redaction);
  • help you respond to data subject requests (the app lets you download a customer's data) and notify you without undue delay of any personal data breach.

Changes

We will post changes to these terms here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
